We had our 2 week well baby check-up yesterday and found out our little girl has gained all her birth weight back plus some!!!!! She weighed 7'15oz, we think that she would have been 8 pounds if she would not have had a blow out in her pants right before getting weighed! Dangit! Her pediatrician says that she is looking good and just to keep up the good work:) So....aawww, sigh of relief!
She turned a corner when she was in Brainerd in regards to her eating, and for the most part has been eating more these days, which is a blessing! She got home though and then she did not sleep as much as she did when we were in Brainerd, so next time we have not had any sleep we are heading to Brainerd!! :) It was really nice to be home for a few days and get a few extra hands to hold and console our baby girl, so thanks everybody! Oh, and Sophia made her debut to Grandma's Coffee group at Sammy J's in Nisswa, MN, the first of many I am sure!
We are planning on having Sophia baptized in Brainerd on the 7th of March by her Uncle Father Michael before Grandma and Grandpa Schmitz, Uncle Matthew, and Uncle Father Michael leave for Greece and Turkey with Jeff Cavins for a few weeks. Hoping that Grandma and Grandpa Lundy are able to make the trip up for the baptism! Her God parents are Kate and Greg Aitchison and Jeremy Vidmar! We are very blessed to have these people agree to be her guideposts on her journey through life, especially in Christ!
Today, being Ash Wednesday, found Sophia getting her first ashes!!! Lucky girl! She actually was fairly good during mass in the middle of the day. Meant to take a picture with her ashes, but they are already rubbed off her forehead as she likes to snuggle and they have ended up on Sarah's shirt and not Sophia's forehead :)
Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers! Keep them coming! Oh and by the way, we are NOT using the new bottle as both Tanner and Sarah did not like it and Sophia does well with the Haberman, no need to re-invent the wheel! :)
